A Craving for a Patty Melt

I love Friday’s.  Today was extra nice because the weather was so beautiful.  The sun definitely makes for a better mood all around.

For some reason I was craving an old-fashioned “Patty Melt”.  The hubby was on his way back from his business trip and I knew he would love to come home to some comfort food.

Patty Melt My Way


Serves 5

9 PP each


  • 1 lb Ground Beef 90/10
  • Garlic Powder
  • Minced Onion
  • Laughing cow wedges
  • 1 tablespoon Italian dressing
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • Rye bread


Preheat oven to broil.

Mix beef with garlic powder and minced onions, add pepper to taste.

Shape into patties and broil.  I weighed mine and made five 3.5 oz patties

3.5 ounces each


In non stick skillet , add the italian dressing and sliced onion cook until golden brown remove.

toast the bread

Top with one Original Laughing Cow wedge on each burger

Add the onions and any other condiments you desire.

And that’s how I made them “My Way”

Now it’s time to put the Netflix movie for our Friday Night at the Movies…

Playing “The Fighter”.  Oh and sipping on champagne and being spoiled by the hubby.

    Sounds great to add the Laughing Cow cheese. I would have made three or four burgers though. 🙂

    Thanks Susie. I probably could have made them burgers a bit bigger. I was trying to make sure they would fit on the rye bread. But they were delicious….
