Hello and welcome
If you are unfamiliar with my blog, please allow me to take a moment to introduce you to the site. The first thing you should know is that this blog was created and maintained by me, Marlene Baird. I am a first generation native San Franciscan. My parents immegrated from the beautiful mediterranean island of Malta. I grew up in San Francisco with an older sister and a younger brother.
I moved to the “suburbs” in the 80’s. (yikes) I enjoy my family, an occasional glass of champagne, and being spoiled by my hubby. I am passionate about food, and creating healthy and tasty meals.
I decided to start blogging after I became a Lifetime Weight Watcher. I knew the best way to stay at goal weight was to really start cooking the right way in the kitchen and of course, go to work at Weight Watchers.
I was inspired to share my kitchen creations that I make for me or my family. I invite you to try the recipes, and if you would like, leave constructive feedback in the comments. Some recipes are my own creation, some modified to my tastes and healthier versions of recipes past. Some will be linked to the original source. Do you have a recipe binder or box of recipe index cards? Think of this site as my family sharing the recipes in a recipe binder with you. As I cook the recipes multiple times, I will tweak and update the recipes. So keep in mind that what you see here is a work in progress.
The photography on this site are all taken by me. They are not copyright photos, however, if you wish to republish one of my photos or recipes, please just link it back to this site.
Thank you so much for visiting.
